Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is considered a revolutionary method that can offer a reduction in symptoms from stress, physical and emotional distress. Developed by Gary Craig, this is an easily learned technique that can be performed virtually anywhere. This mind-body approach intended for understanding and improving human functioning may be employed as a preventative/proactive tool for daily self-care and good mental health hygiene.
EFT can be a very effective way of clearing out feelings, and when the unwanted feeling is gone, the limiting beliefs that the client held onto can be released. New, more positive beliefs about themselves can emerge. Learning EFT can also empower the client to take charge of handling their emotional state because they can tap on a feeling any time they want to move out of a distressing feeling.
